I’m Kim Leann Wylie, a Langley therapist, born and raised in this community. Even with my love for good food, travel, and the occasional night out, Langley is the place I keep choosing.
Not just because of my roots, but because it holds this rare balance of connection and breathing room. I can slip into the city whenever I want a faster pace, and then return to the quiet that grounds me.
Where I live now—just under an acre—gives me that country calm without feeling far away from anything. I love the quiet mornings. The space to breathe. The gardens. The walking trails. The quaint coffee shops that know your order before you speak. And I love that within 40 minutes, I can be at the ocean, at a lake, on a trailhead, or downtown for dinner and a show. It’s the best kind of in-between.
Langley is also where I’ve built my life:
four kids, a husband who truly is my best friend, and a community full of people who’ve grown with me over decades. It’s where my work feels the most meaningful.

I often say counselling chose me long before I chose it. Even as a teenager, I was the friend people turned to when things felt heavy or complicated. Not because I had it all figured out—but because I listened, and I genuinely cared about the story beneath the story.
What I love most about this work is watching people shift.
Someone might walk into the room overwhelmed—by anxiety, burnout, patterns they’re stuck in, or a relationship that’s hanging by a thread. And then slowly, session by session, something opens. They start hearing their own voice again. Feeling steadier. Setting boundaries. Communicating clearly. Laughing more.
I don’t give people the answers.
I support them while they find their own.
Together, we work through real-life things:
– relationship patterns
– rebuilding trust
– breaking cycles
– managing stress
– communicating without shutting down
– learning to ask for what you need
– choosing yourself without guilt
I focus on marriage and relationship counselling, as well as supporting people in building a stronger relationship with themselves. With years of experience as a wedding officiant, and as a wife and mom of four navigating my own life, I understand how complex relationships can be—both with others and within ourselves—and how important it is to do the work.
If you’re looking for a Langley therapist who brings realness, warmth, and a no-judgment space, that’s what I offer.
You won’t get a distant or disconnected therapist here. You get someone grounded, steady, and right there with you as you figure things out.
If you’re ready to feel lighter, clearer, or more connected—to yourself or to someone you love—I’d love to support you.
