Sometimes, life leaves us feeling disconnected from ourselves, others, or the things that once gave us a sense of meaning and stability. I remember standing in my kitchen, my heart pounding, unsure what to do next or why everything felt so overwhelming. I had to make a list that included things like “get dressed,” “eat something,” or “try to go outside” just to make it through the day.
Therapy helped me find a way to come home to myself, and to make sense of my big feelings. Maybe you are in a similar place, wondering, “What do I do now?” when your life comes undone. Perhaps something in your relationship doesn’t feel right. Maybe you’ve begun the scary process of questioning your faith. Or maybe you don’t understand why you can’t just “get over it, already.”
In therapy, healing begins with undoing aloneness. Through our work together, we will discover how you can have more choice when things feel hard, more access to your true self, and a greater ability to ride the waves of emotion as they come and go. Whatever brings you here, I’m happy to meet you there and help you make the change you long for.
life is full of hard things, but it’s also full of beauty. Allowing yourself to be moved by what is lovely is a way to stay grounded and build resilience for when times are hard.
simple small but powerful acts that insist on seeing humanity in everyone, including ourselves.
doing the hard thing because it’s the right thing, standing tall even when others want you to shrink.
don’t underestimate how far a good laugh will take you, even at the end of your rope.
sometimes intellectual understanding isn’t enough. Sometimes we need play, metaphor, and emotional expression when words aren’t enough.
Outside of therapy, I love art, nature, laughter, and all things cozy. I’ve been lucky enough to live in many places around the world, but Vancouver Island is home. I’m a little witchy, a lot motherly, and share my home with my family and an ever expanding list of fur babies.
More than anything, I hope therapy with me feels like a place where you can exhale, be fully human, and experience the transformative power of being seen and believed.
Life has taught me that painful things—and the big feelings they produce inside of us—deserve to be met with compassion, curiosity, and without judgment. I bring years of experience advocating for survivors of intimate partner violence and lived experience with grief and loss.
I work from a feminist, anti-oppressive, and queer positive lens, and care deeply about justice, equity, and creating spaces where everyone can belong. In session, I blend trauma-informed, somatic, relational, and parts-based approaches.
